USA Women's Basketball 1H -11
The women's team dominated in 2016, and should do the same here. However, they got off to a rough start with Nigeria, pulled away by 3rd quarter, then allowed some garbage time scores 4th quarter. I expect that will motivate them to come out strong vs. Japan, playing lockdown defense. The Japanese team is way overmatched, but try to outpace their opponents. I really expect the height difference shows up big on the offensive boards.
Great Britain/ Australia Women's soccer- under 2.5 The British women's team plays really good defense and allows very few scoring opportunities at all. Sometimes they play "safe" to a fault and end up winning 1-0 type games. Not sure if Australia can score here. This is the knock out stage and if I remember right, 2016 had a number of low scoring matches in this stage. Teams like Australia might play for the 0-0 tie and hope for a lucky goal. Or penalty kicks. They did play well defensively vs. the USA team, but overall not sure of what their gameplay will be.
